“MOST NUMBER OF SIGNATURES COLLECTED IN A CAMPAIGN”, FOR THE NATIONAL OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH POLICY (DKKPN) CAMPAIGN

13 DECEMBER 2019 - The National Occupational Safety and Health Policy (DKKPN) was signed by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad on 15 January 2019 and was launched by YAB Dato’ Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Dr. Wan Ismail, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia on 27 February 2019.
This policy is the Government's initiative and commitment to employers and workers in order to improve the level of occupational safety and health. This will be achieved through sustainable risk management at the workplace to protect employers and workers, in order to enhance the country's productivity and competitiveness.
The National Council for Occupational Safety and Health (MNKKP) and Department of Safety and Health (DOSH) entered the Malaysia Book of Records for the “Most Number of Signatures Collected in a Campaign”, for The National Occupational Safety and Health Policy (DKKPN) campaign. The campaign was held simultaneously nationwide from 1 April 2019 to 20 April 2019 and a total of 115,951 signatures were obtained in 20 days.
